WELCOME TO PSORIASIS ASSOCIATION OF GHANA
Psoriasis Association of Ghana is a non-governmental, non-religious and non-profit making organization, aimed at raising awareness of all forms of psoriasis diseases and psoriatic arthritis throughout Ghana to eliminate the stigma attached to the disease through available media, and also create a society which is psoriasis literate, and to provide support for psoriasis patients and to be a voice of people affected by the disease.
ABOUT PSORIASIS
- Chronic: Psoriatic disease cannot be cured, and the disease can periodically relapse.
- Non-communicable: Psoriatic disease is not contagious.
- Painful: Chronic inflammation leads to pain, especially joint and back pain.
- Disfiguring: Psoriatic disease can cause permanent disfigurement, especially in its severe forms

PSORIASIS GHANA PROJETS
Psoriasis Association of Ghana is laying the groundwork for the first Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) in Africa. In partnership with Dr. Giovanni Damiani and the University of Milan . The Association will establish contact with over 1500 Psoriasis patients and also 1500 people who do not have Psoriasis to participate in the study . This research will help establish a stronger Network with Dermatology hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
